A booklet of who's who in Beechworth in early goldmining days. There is a photograph and a small write up on each person. It was compiled by photographer Henry Hansen in 1899 and includes 495 photographs.

A great but small book on Beechworth, absolutely full of information from pioneers to mines to town band.
A booklet (64p). Mostly a civic history, and includes "The Ovens Directory",1857.

The book incorporates a history of the Catholic Parish of Bright. Part 3 of the book has about 50 pages on the early pioneers and their families.

Has a list of the ministers at the end.

Exposes through more than 130 narratives, the daily happenings in the lives of over 170 men and women who ventured across the seas from America and Canada during the first two decades (1850-1870) of the Australian gold rush. 1700 names of people in the northeast of Victoria are listed in the contents page.  The majority of the men and women within this work have not been included in the history books of northeast Victoria. History never seen before has been unearthed by the authors in their quest, history of the region and of the lives of these people.

One of his earlier works and is not the printing quality of his later books. Features 65 former gold mining towns, mainly south of the Divide but some are north of it, including A1Mine Settlement, Gaffneys creek, Howqua Hills, Kevington, Knockwood, Matlock, Mirimbah and Woods Point. Potted histories of each town with township maps.

Up and Down the River: The Butlers from Benenden by Malcom Ronan.
A family history detailing the events of the Butler family from the Kentish town of Benenden, their arrival and settlement in Australia, and finally their marriages and descendants. A lot of this book is based around the Bright and Wandiligong areas of Victoria and along the Murray River. Too many names in this book to even try to mention.

The Runciman Family in Australia 1857-1990 by Roslyn Runciman
This book on the Runciman family details their arrival and early life in Melbourne, the birth of their children and continues to outline the children as they move to Arcadia, Karramous South, Tatura & Golden Square. After this outline the various descendants of this family are listed.

The Golden Gumtree by Denise Marriott-McMahon, published 2000.
A History of Hiram Allen Crawford, Pioneer of the Northeast of Victoria. Much in the way of local history, newspaper cuttings, many photos, diary extracts etc. This book is based from the US to Victoria in the time 1853-1916. 200p.
