Approval was given in 1860 for Mr Walton to hold monthly services, but it unclear when or whether  they actually began. Wesleyans had built a chapel in Crocus St in 1866 on land presented by Mr Hillias. Interest appeared to have waned  and the chapel was moved to Euroa. In 1877, Shepparton ministers provided a monthly service. A new building was erected in 1880 and replaced in 1908.
Buildings:  A brick Mechanics' Institute hall was built in 1888. During its time it has also held court sittings and council meetings. In about 1920 it was renamed to the Memorial Hall. The building was demolished in 1964 and shire building now occupies the spot.
